 Task Description: Today room 4 had came into room 1 and we did some coding with a codyrockie’s which are little robots that you need to code to make it  move.When we need to connect it on the bluetooth to our chromebooks, and had to go on this website which is called “Mblock” for it to make the Codyrockie move itself and  you need to make codes for e.g move to the left,or right,up or down and many more. I worked with Precious, Jasmine and Victoria!.

Pastel Art - Art Alive

Task Description:  this is my pastel art, the emotion I was showing was like a  Comfortable emotion how I was showing this emotion was like from the technique/texture I did/used with all the colours. 

I used the colour red because of passion, Yellow was because of happiness, Blue was because of calmness, Black was the coldness ( used for outlines of clouds )  

Maths - Solving Equations

Task Description: This week for maths we are learning about solving equations this task was fun to do and also a little bit hard.

Maths - Probabillity

Task Description: Today I worked with a Partner and his name was Antzel we had to pick out 3 blocks to make the number 6 and we were only allowed to choose 2 colours in our bucket we had 3 blacks and 3 greys, we swapped with Nahea and Quincess. We had to pick out one of their blocks, they had 3 blue blocks and 3 grey blocks

Line Graph

Task Description: This week for maths Room 1 is learning about Line Graphs, for our Create Task we had to pick some items and walk around the class and ask people/kids to pick a item for our create task

Line Graphs in Action

Task Description: This is a poster about Line Graphs in Action I worked with a buddy named Jasmine, we both took a turn to write a fact down about the poster we were given. 

Equivalent Fractions.

Task Description: Today for maths we investigated equivalent fractions, we had papers and coloured in 2/3s of the paper, we then had to shade in some of the boxes and add the answer. We also had to make a video

 

Level 3 - Maori Stage Polyfest.

Task Description: This is another maths task for today, this task is about a Maori Stage, it was a bit hard, but at least i finished. 

Level 2 - Finding Fractions of a Whole

Task Description: This week is Maori Language Week Room 1 maths has been given a task that was in Maori, we had a slide with the English words so that we understand what the instructions are.  The task was pretty easy but also confusing because of the Maori Words. 

Metric Conversions

Task Description: This week for maths my task was to convert between metric units but first we had to take time to learn more about metric conversions. I really enjoyed learning about this, we also had to convert from largest to smallest.

The Amazonian Mermaid/Myth/Brazil

Task Description: On Friday the 21st of August Room one got given a task to do for our Myths Task. We got to choose any state that was in South America and North America to learn about/research a myth in one of those states. I chose Brazil and my myth that I learned about the The Amazonian Mermaid.

Here was our Instructions: WALT: we are learning about a country in our world!

TASK ONE:

1. Find a myth from one of these two continents: North America OR South America
2. Mark in the country they are from on your Myths Around the World Map slideshow map (already in your drive!) and don't forget to add a summary slide about the myth you read/watched. (BONUS: 5 Dojo points)

TASK TWO:

Create a poster that shows the following:

1. 1. The name of the myth
   2. Key people/beings/objects from myth
   3. The population of this country today
   4. The languages spoken in this country
   5. Flag of the country

Show this off on your blog today (BONUS: 5 Dojo points!)

TASK THREE:

1. Find out four other interesting facts about the country your myth from today was from.
2. Enter your 4 facts on the Google Drawings
3. Include a map to show where the country is located.
4. Make your Drawing look interesting and make it your own by adding different colours, font, layout, and pictures of famous landmarks/buildings in that country. (BONUS: 5 Dojo points)
5. HAVE HEAPS OF FUN RESEARCHING!!

Reading Scales

Task Description: This week we are learning about Reading different Scales we also had to write down 3 things we learnt while watching a video, we also had to write down the amount of water from the jug. we are also learning about Measuring Temperature Using a Thermometer.

On the second to last slide I didn't know much of the answers but I tried my best to get all the answers right.

Camp Post #3

1. If you were to give ideas for the next year 7/8 camp what would you suggest?:I Suggest the activities that the teacher have set up because it is really fun doing.
2. What would you keep?: I want to keep all the activities because the activities we've done are really fun and it is also enjoyable.
3. What would you stop? We Should not stop anything going on because the teachers have been trying their best to make the Year 7 step up fun.
4. What would you add? I would probably add some more activities like Volleyball for sports, probably karaoke for the rotations.
5. Why do we have such events? We have these events because the Year 7s have a chance to step up and be leaders and show some examples to little kids.
6. Talk about Whare Tapa Whā and key competencies: Maybe to show knowledge & confidence we can success our talent & share it to the world.

Task Description: Today we did a Whare Tapa Wha task of keeping on top of my well being. I've been helping my family throughout the weeks I need to stay positive when I sit next to the year 8s on my table.
