Tony Laulu - Visit to Room 3 Literacy

Today on the 29th of July, during literacy we had a special visitor come to Room 3 literacy class. His name was Tony Laulu, he introduced his two books to us, he also told us about his 3rd book coming out in 2 months.

Tony Laulu has two sons, one of their names is Lemalie and he is 7 years old. The other is 10 years old and his name is Sakalia.

Tony Laulu had explained something about your culture, he explained that if you can’t speak your own language that doesn’t mean you’re not that culture. You still have that culture language in you even if you can’t speak it.

Another thing he spoke about to us was that one of his books was about his experience. His first book was about his two sons, his nieces were also in the book that he wrote.

Another cool fact about him is he is actually COUSINS with a member from STNDRD

Speech about Leaders

Title: My Thoughts about Leaders.

Into: Good Morning everyone, Today I am going to share my thoughts about leaders.

First of all, confidence is the best quality. A leader must have strong self-confidence. A person lacking in confidence can never be a good leader and  a person must be confident enough to ensure others follow him/her. The leader must have confidence in his/her decisions and actions.

A good leader must certainly inspire others and  a leader must be a role model for his/her followers. They must motivate them whenever possible. Also, in difficult conditions, a leader must not lose hope.

A leader must have Honesty and honour because it is  very important to earn the love of followers. Above all, honesty is needed to win the trust of the people.

Good communication is a must for a good leader. This is because poor communication means the wrong message to followers. Furthermore, good communication will increase the rate of work. Also, the chances of mistakes by followers will be reduced.

So now that you’ve finished listening to my story about “ Leader” are you strong, confident and have good communication enough to be a good leader? Everyone has the strength to be a leader. So use your strength and become a leader.

Task Description: For Writing we've been writing speeches, and my speech was about "Leaders", Today I gave my speech to the class ( Literacy, Rm3 ). I was really nervous, I got my score and it was "19/25" which isn't really that bad.
