Facts about New Zealand

Task Description: So I got so bored and had nothing to do all I did was watch Tv, a few moments later the word New Zealand just popped in my head so I had an idea started writing more things about New Zealand for those who don't know much about New Zealand.

  • So New Zealand has 3 different Languages which are Sign Language, Maori and English. New Zealand is also mixed with different cultures/people from around the world, some people were also born here but is a different culture.
  • New Zealand is known for it's stunning national parks, dynamic Maori culture, incredible hiking trails, and world class skiing and surfing. (Sheep Rule) There are 9 sheep per person in New Zealand. making it the highest ratio in the world. At the time, there are just 4.8 million New Zealanders, scattered across 268,021 sq km, which means there are over 43 million sheep in New Zealand! What's even more incredible is that New Zealand is bigger than the UK, yet it has one-fourteenth of its human population.
  • New Zealand is the 3rd closet country to Antarctica  Only after Chile and Argentina. The Population of New Zealand is  4,822,233 people which is a lot, New Zealand has a private Island named Stewart Island to visit the Island you must have permission from the Government, there is also endangered animals there on Stewart Island. One of them is named a Kiwi which is a flightless bird, a kiwi lays eggs like the other birds that are 20% of the mother's body.
  • In New Zealand we have 50 volcanoes, most of them are extinct. The most Prominent one is Mount Rangitoto, which can be seen from the harbour.( Destructive Kea ) The Kea, a bird native to New Zealand, is known for pulling windscreen wipers off cars and eating stripes of rubber from the windows. In fact, many tourist suffer damages on their car rentals thanks to this little bird known as the Kea. Kea Bird  
  • New Zealand's Maori name is Aotearoa in English is Land of the Long white cloud, if you're wondering if we have any snakes we don't have any snakes. The film (Lord of the rings) was filmed in New Zealand, the New Zealand government even created Minster for Lord of the rings to ensure the most money could be made from the films.
