Task Description: Today in Inquiry we did Rotations and Room1 moved to Room 5 with Whaea Kelly. She explained to us about the task. In this activity we have learnt that people in Jamaica were dominated to be slaves, some people escaped and lived on the Blue Mountain where Coffee beans are made.

Choose it writing/Recount

 ( Write a recount to tell your audience about something fun you did during isolation.)

Something that I did fun in my isolation is baking and also playing outside with the chalk and doing the hopscotch game and doing the game my mum played back in the olden days when she was my age. Me and my mum baked Banana Muffins, Chocolates Muffins and also Plain muffins, when we were doing the Banana Muffins we forgot to add Vanilla Essence but it still tasted delicious. With the chalk we did random things like did numbers take photos of them and while we were doing the Hopscotch game my mum showed me how to do the one she did in the islands ( Samoa ). So she grabbed a rock dropped it on the number one she jumped over it and went to the end of the Hopscotch next then she carried on until she gave up because she hasn't played it for years. So I tired and it was like I was exercising with a jump rope because I did the Hopscotch numbers long...

And that was my favourite part of my isolation. 

Choose It Writing/Reflection of my Isolation

What I liked about my isolation is baking and doing art and crafts, my most favourite part about baking is licking the bowl, because the batter is delicious my other favourite part about baking is that when it comes out of the oven I love eating it because it is tasty. My favourite part about arts and crafts is making the bunny, making a flower and also doing the colour with sandwich bags, I favourite part about that is putting different colours on the sandwich bags, then adding water and flipping it onto the paper.


What I disliked about my isolation is doing the chores!!! I only like doing the chores a little tiny bit. Even if I don't like doing I have to at least make the house look tidy because some visitors might come over like that lady who does the house inspection, and look around and see that the house is messy. My mum doesn't like the house messy so that is why we always get asked to clean the house.

My experience of my isolation is amazing because we do not want to catch the Covid-19 by not following Jacinda Ardern rules.

Choose It Writing

Task Description: So everyday for Literacy on our task we pick something to do, I chose the pink box ( Write a narrative (Story) of your choice. Be sure to write for at least 20 minutes).

Once upon a time lived a young girl named Maria, she lived in New Zealand. One morning she went for a walk until she saw a forest named Crystal Nation, her eyes caught the forest and she didn't want to be distracted but she still got distracted from the forest. So she entered that forest, she had a little experience around the forest, Maria then searched up the forest and it said that it was opened millions years ago but ever since it was closed no one had been back in the forest because they were terrified. Maria then turned her phone off and carried on exploring the forest, she was amazed of how it looked because there were lots of beautiful flowers and more nature things. She then found a lake, she was also amazed from the lake she then she thought it would be a good idea to take photos and send them to her parents, as she took some photos she sent it to her parents but unfortunately there was no signal so she couldn't send anything or post anything online or send them to her parents. There was one big problem she thought she was the only person in the forest but unfortunately there were other people so she hid behind a tree and was seeing what they were up to, she heard them and when they went around the corner from where she was standing she could see it was her friends. She was so suspicious of what they were doing in the forest, she was recording them on her phone so that whatever they were talking about she would send it to her group chat. Next then she went to go and find things for her shelter for the night she then got caught from her friends her friends said "Come with us we have plenty of shelter for you to keep warm and also keep dry".  She then followed them to their shelter, and she was also hungry so they gave her food to eat, she had a mice and cheese pie and also had Tropical Juice to drink, after that she went to sleep, The next morning she tired finding her way out of the forest, she woke up before her friends woke up. Maria spent hours trying to find her way out but she couldn't so she tired finding her friends so she could hang out with them, Maria spent 2 hours finding her friends until she found them, she wanted to go back home because she hasn't seen her parents she also knew that she would get in trouble but she still manged to stay in the forest. It then was getting dark and Maria went with her friends to the shelter they had Dinner, their dinner was Potatoes and Chicken for their drinks they had Coke and Sprite. After that they had a little slummer party and fell asleep.......The next morning as they woke up they all did their morning routine and went looking for a way out of the forest, it took them hours until one of Maria friends found a map inside her bag and then they followed the path on the map, another hour passed by and they found their way out, next thing they did, is that they went their own ways without saying goodbye. As Maria arrived back home she was happy to see her parents and her parents and siblings were also happy to see her back at home, as she got home she did her chores for her parents, so that she makes them even happier.

School: What I learnt on the online
schooling my home class teacher was
about the earth, this term we are learning
about the earth, and what I learnt is that
there are 3 layers of this earth which are
Core,Mantle and Crust. 

About Myself: What I learnt about myself
is that I need to go to sleep earlier instead
of going to sleep around 1:00 in the
morning or 12:00 in the morning, I need to
sleep earlier because I also wake up late
when it is school week.

Whanau: What I learned with my whanau
is how to bake, my mum already knew how
to bake but I wanted to help with my mum
with the baking, we were baking muffins
and they were so delicious when it was
finished baking in the oven, I got one
out and I burnt my finger.

Culture: I haven’t been learning about
my culture lately but I still know how to
speak it and understand it. I know heaps
about it as well.

Community: So in my bubble I have my
parents, my three siblings and next
door neighbours we have been in
contact nearly everyday.

there with you in samoa? Here in New Zealand my
bubble is going perfect, I’ve been doing my learning
and posting my work on my blog. Also a massive
thanks for your birthday letters you have given to
me throughout my birthday years. I also hope you
are doing okay.

Talofa Papa how are you? How is your lockdown
going there in Australia? Here in the bubble me
and mum have been doing a lot of things like
doing the chores, crafts, some talking/funny things.

Clear the table: It is cleaning the table by wiping
it and putting the things on the table away to
where it goes or it either goes in the rubbish bin.

They are in a hurry because the girl might
be late to school and she will miss out on a
little bit of her learning that her teacher will
be talking about.

It is someone saying that your eyes look

My first place I would like to go to is probably Waiheke
Island because I would like to experience more of the
island, like the beaches and much more that is on the island.

and also experience what it would be like to jump off.

because they have been with me all my life and

My second choice would be my Nephew Azahn

and Niece Jayah because here at home it is

really boring and when they are here it is loud

and it is also funny when Jayah and Azahn come over.

My last choice would be probably a puppy

because I would love to have a pet to play with

while I am bored.

Task Description: This is my reading for term 2, I have been hopping on the meetings so that I know what to do while lockdown and while Team 5  is doing Online Schooling.

Walliamson and Cowley Wk 8 The Bushfire

Task Description: This Work was from last week. I did this when I took a day off from school because I was sick, Since were on isolation, team 5 have been meeting up with each other because school is closed/lockdown. We have been having Meetings with each other. This is work from Literacy.

Six Sentences Story

1.  Once upon a time on a sunny hot morning, I felt like going to Long Bay Beach, so then I changed into my swimming togs, I grabbed my clothes and put it on top of my togs. Next I rang my friend Leylani and asked if she wanted to go to Long Bay Beach and she accepted it, so then I packed my spare clothes and my towel to get dried in and to get change into. After that I went to the Car and went to Leylani House. I picked her up and then we went to Long Bay Beach.

2. When I got to Leylani house, she was already outside waiting so then I yelled out “ Hop in the car we are going” So then Leylani came in the car and we drove off to Long Bay Beach it was a long way to Long Bay Beach.

3. As we were still driving we stopped at Countdown to get some food
and some drinks, the food we got was Chips, Donuts, and much more
food, the drinks we got were Tropical Juice,Apple Juice, Orange Juice
and some Fizzy Drinks. Then we went to the check out to pay for our
food and drinks, next we went back in the car and drove off.

4. As we arrived at Long Bay Beach we unpacked the car and then we put
all our drinks in a cooler and our food/snacks in a big shopping bag.
Next we went to go and find a spot to sit. We found a spot with
shade and so then we went to that spot, we went to the toilets
to put on our togs and then we went back out to our spot, as we
sat down we grabbed out some snacks to eat we ate for 10 minutes
and then we started talking for about 5 minutes and then we went
to the water. Leylani and I went to the water and we started swimming,
until Leylani went out further and she got surrounded by Sharks.

5. Leylani got so terrified because she couldn’t get out from the
surrounded Sharks, she was screaming because it was really big
sharks that she didn’t know what to do. She was also drowning in
the water and it was getting worse because more  sharks were coming
in and she was screaming even louder which hurt my ears. Leylani felt
that way because it was really scared of sharks and it was her worst fear.

6. So then I went out of the water and went looking for lifeguards
to get her out of the water, it took me so long because there were
hardly any lifeguards on the beach so then, I waited for the lifeguards
at the same time I was panicking, around 5:15 lifeguards were there.
So then I asked them if they could save my friend Leylani,
they answered “ Yea sure we’ll save your friend”, so then they rushed
off to find Leylani in the ocean. About 6:23 Leylani was out of the
ocean and I was so happy that she was still alive but she got bitten on
the leg from the Shark, so then the Lifeguard bandaged her leg.

My Choose It Narrative

Choose It Narrative

Once upon a time, on a sunny Friday Morning I was swimming so far from home that
I didn’t know where I was going. I was in the middle of the ocean. I saw a big rock ahead,
I swam to the rock and then I jumped out of the ocean and on the rock. I stayed
on the rock for a few minutes, the sun was shining so bright that I was getting
burnt from the sun. so then I hopped back in the ocean and swam off. As I was
swimming I saw my worst enemy, the 2 big fat sharks, so I went back the other
way, as I was swimming I was so tired that I didn’t know which way I came from.
So then I went in different directions and I came back to the same spot, so then
I went back to the big rock and slept there for the night. The next morning
I woke up and then I went back in the ocean, and went to the direction that the sharks were at,
apparently the sharks were not there so then I swam on I got caught up in the big fishing net, I
tired to get out but I couldn’t so then I saw other Mermaids swimming having some fun,
so then I called out to the other Mermaids and asked them for help. So then they came and tried to get me out of the big fishing net, it took so long for them to get me out because it was a really big fishing net and it was hard to open as well. Next came two big fat sharks which were my worst enemy and I couldn’t stand staying in the big fishing net with the Sharks because if they eat me I wouldn’t make it out of the big fat fishing net. A few minutes later little fishes came in and it couldn’t help it I wanted to get out. But I couldn’t because the ropes/net were pretty strong that none of us could rip open so that we could be free, next the fishermen were pulling up the big net, and I started yelling because I didn’t want to leave my kingdom and I knew it wasn’t the best thing I did, and then the Mermaids and Merman's started doing their plan to how to get us out of the big fishing net.  They grabbed some things and tried cutting the big net, one hour later we got out and the fishermen pulled their net back up and then the boat went off empty handed and I was happy that I was free, but there was only one thing to do say sorry to my parents that I was not home and that I missed out on Mermaid school. So I swam off back to the Kingdom and as I got there I entered the gates and there it was my parents angry face was not happy with me , so then I got in big trouble and I had to discuss it with my parents why I wasn’t back and why I missed out on Mermaid school. I had to explain everything I had to tell them twice because they were not happy with me, after I had explained why I was not home they accepted my apologies and they let me go to my room and have a sleep for the next morning. As I woke up my parents were in my room and they told me to do all the chores because I didn’t do it yesterday or the day before yesterday, it was a really boring day because I had to do the chores all day and I was not happy about it was managed to get all the chores done.

Task Description: Last Week I finished my Narrative Writing, I had to tell my Literacy class because I got picked to stand up and tell my story to the class.

Wk 5 Explanation Writing

Task Description: This is my explanation writing I chose on picture from the task and it was the first picture I chose, it is about the camp I was at with my mum and my two brothers it is about what we did at the Camp, it was pretty fun there, they had fun activity it was the best camp, and it was fun with my mum and my brothers, my dad couldn't make it because he was at work. But we still had face time with him.

Title: How to keep the school clean and the Community Clean 

Introduction: I chose  How to keep the school clean because if we leave rubbish lying around the wind might blow it towards the beach it will go into the ocean/sea. The sea turtles and all the other sea creatures will eat the rubbish and they might die.

Information: Firstly people were walking around and eating their packet of chips, they were also talking as they finished their packet of chips they threw it on the ground.

I As the wind blew the rubbish blew towards the beach and the wind blew harder and harder the rubbish blew towards the water/ocean/sea and it was getting closer and closer, then the rubbish blew at the edge of the water, got closer and closer then it got in the water.

Information: Next the chip packets got in the middle of the sea/ocean and then the turtles and other sea animals saw the chip packets then they started eating it….Next the turtles and the other sea animals were dying and they couldn’t spit out the plastic ( Chip Packet ), and so they died in the sea and a few days later they got washed up on the shore.

Information:Then the next morning the girls who dropped their rubbish went to the beach and then they saw the turtles and the other sea creatures were on the beach dead with the chip packets in the animals mouth.They were really sad that the animals died so then they got all the chip packets out of the animals mouth and then they walked around the beach picking up rubbish.
