The Sons of Ma'afu



Task Description: Today my reading class has read an fantastic book which is from the Kingdom of Tonga the book we read was named The sons of Ma'afu, his people which was the villagers were disappointed in his two sons behaviour because the sons kept on damaging the fales which is houses with their spears.
This is Ma'afu
1. Born in 1816
2. He died in February 1881
3. Parents Aleamout'a
4. Culture is Tongan and Fijian ish
He was a traditional Tongan Prince and a Fijian chief 
nominated and installed by the Tovata
 chiefs of Lakeba and Vanua Balavu as 
'Tui Lau' in 1869.

  1. Awesome job on your reading task Leah! I really like that you took the time to learn some more about Ma'afu. As we have learnt, some myths have real elements in them and in this case Ma'afu was a real historical figure from the island of Tonga. Was there something you learnt about him that you found most interesting?
